We have Matthew our Grandson with us this week, he has only 2 weeks left of his Summer Holidays, he is looking forward to starting Secondary School, he is really excited about it.

The weather is still warm and humid here, lets hoope it lasts until the Schools go back.

Good Afternoon,

 

Hope everyone is well in blogland.

We had a wonderful holiday, it was very hot. We went to the Netherlands, Germany and Belgium.

The boat trip was great, we sailed from North Shields to Ijmuiden, near Amsterdam. Then drove to Maastricht, where we saw Andre Rieu in Concert, in the open air, it was fabulous. We were there for 2 days. Then drove to Aachen in Germany for 1 night. Then onto to Hasselt in Belgium to see my Relatives, we had 2 nights there and onto Mechelen and drove to Ieper, we saw the Menen Gate, and the huge Cemetory of the war dead of the 1st World War.

We had a wonderful time, wished we could of stayed longer.
